Litentry this week: Parachain - The team is developing Twitter verification and discord verification in TEE-worker. This will allow identity linking with account in these platforms happen more securely and privately in the Identity Hub. - The team is also in the research of supporting Bi-directional Bridge on Litentry parachain. Identity Hub Last week the team has been working on testing and fixing the new UI for ID Hub, and building a new website for 2C and 2B purposes. In short, the team aims to make the product look very nice and user friendly. Governance Last week we have submitted a new referendum (#1) about introducing an inflation model on LIT tokens. The referendum targets a 1.5 annual inflation rate in the first 6 months since inflation begins, which is when staking functionality is fully activated on Litentry, and a 2.5% rate thereinafter. This referendum sparks intense discussions in the Telegram chat, most of the opinions are against applying this model so soon. Considering the feedback and concerns from the community, we plan to revise the initial proposal and raise a new one. The new proposal will bring in a token-burning approach to offset the immediate effect of inflation on LIT. Others - Kucoin has now opened the Litmus deposit service for Litentry (LIT). Users can check the Assets > Main Account > Deposit page and select the LIT Litmus network for transactions. - XCM integration between Darwinia’s Crab Parachain and Litmus Parachain is available now.

Litentry this week: Identity Hub The development in Phase 1 will be finished by the end of this week. In this phase, we will finish merging MyCryptoProfile’s existing feature to Identity Hub, and apply new UI to the platform. The arthitecture v2.1 consolidation is under testing. Parachain - We received feedback on problems in the bi-directional token bridge where the network is unable to estimate gas fee. The problem has been fixed now, we will activate the bridge this week. - Adding Email, Twitter, Discord Verification features to TEE. This allows identity verification to be run in a privacy-preserving manner. This week we just finised the prototype verification of email and oauth verification via micro-service in TEE. - Improving the weights calculation of Staking Pallet, will start to roll it out very soon! Mobile App - We created user scenarios to ensure we are covering the core value proposition. - Later this week we will have a session with Polkadot Council to validate new UI/UX improvements and clarify questions regarding Polkadot Governance 2.0. The Bi-directional unit test has been completed. - XCM transfer LIT from Litmus to Moonriver is now available. LIT can be deposited on Moonriver and used as xcLIT. This integration brings native cross-chain capabilities to the future of interoperability. - Bounty and Tips pallet is deployed to Rococo, but this is currently not deployed on Litmus/Litentry until we have a UI in place. (Bounty is a way to delegate oversight of a project to experts; Tips are a way to reward work that has been done.) Identity Hub - Identity Hub UI progress is going well according to the plan. Litentry this week: Parachain This week the team has finalized the implementation of two major functionalities: Staking Pallet and bi-directional token bridge. The local tests are looking good so far, but we’d need more tests on the public testnet (Rococo) before these two functions go live. Besides, we also continue working on the communication framework extension between Identity-management pallets. Identity Hub We started the front-end design of the first version of Identity Hub, which will merge the existing features of MCP into this product. Drop3 will also be merged into Identity Hub, so the redesigning of the interface will start subsequently. Besides that, we’ve been working on enabling Web2-ID to DID route, which allows an identifier to map a, for ex, Twitter ID. There is a lot of discussion on how to bring airdrop value to those DID, and how to verify these IDs as well. Others The Litmus Governance platform was officially launched. Testing is taking place this week - The team is working on an innovative solution to auth Twitter accounts while maintaining privacy. It will utilize Occulum to run a microservice within a TEE Identity Hub We are now in the Phase 1 development of Identity Hub! During this phase, MyCryptoProfile will be merged into it as the Hub’s initial interface. We estimate this merge can be completed in early September. Mobile App (Polkadot Governance) - Litentry is support the React community by giving our app demo for testing and investigating crypto package issues. The REACT community found that the current packages are incomparable with WASM initiation and other crypto related functionality because they are usually the same package for the browser based solutions in the mobile phone. The demo can help by giving a good understanding of what problems we are facing with existing crypto package. Based on their research, they will develop a new native crypto package to be used in the whole react native community, and work on some specific functionality for our usage. Litentry this week: Development Updates Parachain - The two XCM bi-directional channels between Litmus and Moonriver, Litmus and Karura are now open. Users can now send LIT tokens from the Litmus Network to the Moonriver Network or Karura Network and back. We anticipate that LIT will soon be live on Moonriver Staking and Karura Swap and bring more versatility to LIT. - The team is planning on rolling out the Staking Pallet functionality onto Rococo soon as the pallet is progressing well. There will be a document to guide and advise users on how to use the Staking Pallet via Polkadot JS. - We have distributed the Litentry Campaign crowdloan rewards. Distribution of failure compensation and rewards for users using Parallel is still a work in progress. Identity Hub - Drop3 and MyCryptoProfile will be merged into a new project named “Identity Hub”. The product aims to provide an all-in-one place for users to link identities, view, manage and capture the value of their identity, including the corresponding cross-chain data, credentials, assets, and more.
